Revolution - The Beatles.
Nobody but Me - The Human Beinz.
You Didn't Have to Be So Nice - Lovin' Spoonful.
Na-Na-Hey-Hey...Steam.

"Revolution" is definitely one of the best intros. Hard to beat that one.

Wild, rockin' intro and The White Album's mellow intro - same song

I'll take the wild rockin' one.
Didn't know until I saw it on youtube that it was actually Paul doing the screaming in the intro of that one! Who knew!

So not only "the walrus was Paul," but also the screamer at the beginning of "Revolution"! ;D

Ah, but the quiet Beatle was not Paul.

Actually, it is Lennon who belts out the scream in the studio version. Paul did it in the semi-live performance for the promotional film because Lennon could not deliver the scream and catch his breath again in time to launch into the first verse. (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolution_(song)#Revolution)
Regardless of who screams it is indeed one of the greatest Rock intros ever. Proto-Metal!

I've always thought that that was John screaming, primarily because it sounded like him, and partly because it was his song!

So who really was the walrus after all? I still say it was John! ;D

"Stay" Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs, "Fire" Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, or "Stagger Lee" Lloyd Price.
;-)

Glass Onion, on The White Album, "Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul".

Glass Onion, on The White Album, "Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul".
I looked at the clothes they were wearing in the photos, both before and after they put on their respective costumes, and it appears to me that John was, indeed, the walrus. The line from "Glass Onion" appears to be a diversionary tactic.

Imagine if Ringo had been the walrus:

"Well, here's another clue for you gringoes,
the walrus was Ringo!"
;D
