“I Need A Man To Love” – Big Brother and the Holding Co

“I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide” – ZZ Top

"Hot Smoke and Sassafrass"--Bubble Puppy

Good one! Now, excuse me while I light some incense and go smoke some pencil sharpener shavings (or something).

How about a mini safari of intros:

Tusk - Fleetwood Mac
Jungle - Electric Light Orchestra
The Lion Sleeps Tonight

How about this. There were so many great rock and roll songs during the fifties and sixties, and so many had fabulous intros.. How does anything compare to Baby I Love You by the Ronettes, or I'm Hurtin' by Roy Orbison. Those are some of my favorites. How about yours?

The opening Minute of the Van Halen song "Everybody wants some",is my favorite opening! Great Guitar work

How about George Harrison's guitar opening in "Drive My Car" --Beatles

Or Electric Light Orchestra's rockin' intro to "Hold On Tight"

Accroches-toi a ton reve (need some extra punctuation capabilities here)
Quand tu vois ton bateau partier
Quand tu sents ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi a ton reve (hm, still need some extra punctuation capabilities, but you get the idea).

We could use an extra jazz groove intro here too:

C'est si bon

Teach Your Children – CSN&Y (Jerry Garcia on steel)

Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress – the Hollies

Honky Tonk Pt 1 – Bill Doggett

all very worthy entries to be sure..but i would propose the greatest intros are the ones you recognize with the first two to four notes.."satisfaction" for instance..many more i'm sure most would recognize with just that first two second riff..... ;)

Fox On the Run by the Sweet always sounds like the first couple seconds of Sky High by Jigsaw to me. Just the 1st couple seconds.
Touch Me-Doors
