She's A Lady does have a great opening & is my favorite Tom Jones record.

"Two-Bit Manchild" (for the guitar) and "Holiday Inn Blues" (for the bass) from Neil Diamond's 1968(?) LPVelvet Gloves and Spit

We often hear "Heart of Glass" in a strange little context on small time, out of the way radio, but how about this ominous, out of the way intro?

One Way Or Another - Blondie

She ain't anything too swift or feminine in her videos either.

That's a great album. I'm glad someone besides me likes it.

Also has "Brooklyn Roads" (another great opening) and "Practically Newborn" (sort of a warmup to "BLTSS").

I believe it was Diamond's first album for MCA after leaving Bang, for which he cut his best rendition of "Shiloh", which he IIRC cut once for Bang, once (lamely) for MCA (I think that one's on VG&S), and once (lamely) for Columbia.
