Greatest Intros in Rock

I am surprised that this song haven't been mentioned! The great British horns and tight lyrics makes this a top ten: Nothing but a Heartache by the Flirtations..........

Nothing But A Heartache by the Flirtations is not only a great intro, but an excellent record IMO. Good choice!

Anyone who knows what I'm talking about should seriously consider getting professional help!

Just about anything Perkins did has a great intro, although many of them were very short, usually not more than two bars after a pickup note. I rate the intro to “Honey Don’t” as his best, and the long version of “Matchbox” with Duane Eddy and the Mavericks as a close second.
