Green will lead recruiting efforts for top news management positions in Scripps’ 24 TV markets. She will focus primarily on openings for news directors, assistant news directors and executive producers, employing her nationwide network of connections and developing new relationships with respected news leaders throughout the industry.
With an extensive background in the newsroom, Green began her career in various producer and executive producer positions in Jacksonville, Fla.; Miami; Tampa; and New York. She also served as news director for WBAL Baltimore and WTTG Washington.
In addition, she spent three years as senior vice president and general manager for the CNN International Network and was a senior vice president at Tribune Media.
Green has received three Peabody Awards, eight Emmy awards and more than a dozen Edward R. Murrow awards.
