Greenville SC gets a Christian CHR

Clear Channel launched the New SHINE 96.7 this morning in the Greenville SC market. Shine is a Christian CHR music station that appears to be related to the highly rated Christian AC His Radio. His Radio already programs one of CC's upstate AM signals so it would make sense that they are now programming a FM signal. If this station will work anywhere than it would have to work in Greenville so we will see how it goes. The signal blankets the city of Greenville and the cities that surround the bigger city, Spartanburg gets a very weak signal.
 
Interesting... Wonder what the fans of Ozzy, Linkin Park and Seether thought when they turned on their 96.7 and heard "Christian Lyrics" coming out of the radio :p
 
That would be a big chance for their loyal listeners.

We'll continue to see more of this with Clear Channel and Cox seeing the value and money potential in CCM.
