I've seen the 12+ shares for Greenville but that doesn't tell the story. What's the inside skinny on the Fall book?

What impact, if any, do you feel not having coverage into Easley, Clemson and Anderson will have on the ratings for the Walk 106.3? When they left 103.9...they pretty much lost their signal into Clemson and Anderson especially....

I wonder. The way I see it, they blew off Oldies in true lemming-like behavior because everyone else around the country was doing it. On top of that, they invested a lot of time, money and more importantly ego, in The Walk. This was a collaboration between David Field and Tom Durney. It would have been cool to invent a format and have it turn into a big winner. I wonder if they will continue to believe in it in the face of the mounting evidence that the format is a loser.

I wonder what the story is with Jamz. My guess is it's a fluke. What about Hot 98.1? How'd they do?

Hmm.. It just occurs to me that WMYI is the more gold heavy AC. Did Entercom indadvertently help them when they killed off Oldies? And what do they have to show for their efforts on The Walk? Zip. Nada. Nothing.

I think the bigger issue is that the "Churchies" tend to gravitate towards 89.3 moreso than 106.3. To me, it seems that even the buckle of the Bible belt can only support so much religious & faith-based radio.
I still say Entercom needs to move WORD to 106.3 & dump the AM simulcast. I can't help but feel that one day, somehow, CC's gonna do something BIG with talk radio on 660 & blow WORD out of the water.

Sports could work. But will that make as much money for CC as leasing it? That is what they're doing with it isn't it?
