Greenwood Radio Notes...

I was driving thru Greenwood with my engineer on the way to the mall, walmart and to eat.......

94.1 sounds like crap! the audio is VERY flat, has no depth to it.. and sounds like they are running a mono webstream.

I listened to the LPFM on 97.7..... interesting that their Application states they want to serve the underserved African American community but were playing spanish music.

When I was in Greenwood a few weeks ago at the Ham/Amature radio festival, 94.1 didn't sound as bad as before. I'll be in Greenwood on Sunday or Monday with my Engineer and another radio station friend from Greenville and will check on things again and report back.

I know 1450 is for sale. They were asking $250,000 but IIRC, they want the tower moved. it souunds as if the spanish people who bought 1450/94.1 haven't even touched 1450.
