Greenwood's 94.1 format

Reports are that the Greenwood SC 94.1 and 1450 are sold. And right now 94.1 is running YOUR 94, sort of a blend of everything. If 94.1 goes young country as a friend of mine fears, could it have an impact of WABV's classic country? I myself sorta like the current format, and if 94.1 goes country they have to contend with WESC and WSSL.

I got a chance to hear YOUR 94 the other day, and it seems mostly like a classic hits/AC hybrid. I admit it's something neat, but I wonder how long it'll last. From what I understand, a company called Big Fish owns them now?

Where did that station come from? Until recently I had never heard of it. I know there was a 103.5 down there, and formerly the old 96.7. Is that licensed to some other tiny town down there?

WHZQ is licensed to Cross Hill, SC, isn't it like halfway between Laurens and Greenwood? It's sort of a Greenwood/Newberry/Saluda/Laurens/Clinton type station I think..

:) WOW!!!! That station has changed formats more than most people change underware I seem to remember there being talk of JR starting a new station, but I guess if you can't build it you just buy it... CC1
