Greetings from Pittsburgh

Some of you know, others may not. I've moved on as News Director for Clear Channel Jacksonville, now working for CBS as an anchor at KDKA Pittsburgh. Started here about the middle of December and am loving it, save for the bitter cold. The six plus years I lived and worked in Jacksonville were a profitable, growing experience. Many, if not most, of the people I worked with are no longer there. Change seems to be one of the few constants in the radio business. While I had to limit my contributions on this message board (for obvious reasons) you should know I, and others like me working in radio, read frequently and with interest what you are posting. To those who love the medium as I do, thanks for your feedback. I will continue to check in here as I do on the Louisiana board. If you'd like to stay in touch, please send me a message at the email address below.

Cheers!

Paul

Best of luck to you, Paul.

Change is happening in every market but the sad truth is - most of it has not been for the better. I enjoyed reading your posts and I hope you still visit this board on occassion. I can understand why but it would be great if there was more particpation by those in the business.

The passion for radio you mention seems to be taking a big hit - not only for a typical listener but for even those in the biz. I can only hope that changes. Take care and stay in touch.

John
