He sounds good im WIBC, but he sounded good on WXNT and WLW as well.
He's a welcome addition to WIBC in my ears...

Greg is filling in afternoons for Steve Simpson this week.
And at least occasionally on Sat & Sun mornings.

He's a great addition. I would not be upset at all of he could permanently replace Greg Garrison or Simpson. Sorry but I find both unlistenable. When was he on WLW?

Seems like it was a few years ago that he did some fill-in on WLW. Maybe that's when the current WIBC PD was in Cincy.

To me, Browning beats the that same right-wing political drum, giving WIBC a three-fer with Garrison, Limbaugh and Browning. Can't wait for Steve to get back. Browning thinks he's a little too cool... I understand that the template has been created by FOx News and Limbugh-centric stations that "conservative" radio wins. But does it really? Not for me. There is room on a station for ideas and discussion. Agenda's bore me. Or worse, make me question the host's ability to think about what a caller is trying to say. Greg tips the radio scale to "unlistenable" when it comes to WIBC - despite a pretty good news operation. Steve is underrated. He's the best in the market for handling conversation, breaking news and understanding how to be a host without aforementioned agenda.

Steve also lacks the aforementioned ratings that Garrsion or Limbaugh get. This game is about ratings and revenue. If they could be achieved by happy talk or simply a moderator listening to all sides, that would be the model you see most. Partisan wins. Fox News wins with the right. MSNBC has done much better since going left-leaning. CNN is trying play the middle. As senator whose name I can't recall said... "There not much in the middle of the road except dead possum." CNN is the dead possum of cable news.

For radio, it is not really the ideology that matters...its money money.

The WIBC gig ended pretty quickly. Posters have said he was doing a fine job. What happened? When did Browning move over to WJJK? I thought the jobs road ran only one way and that is from Cumulus to Emmis.
