GRHoF wants your input

The Georgia Radio Hall of Fame is a statewide organization, dedicated to preserving Georgia’s rich radio heritage and recognizing the people who are part of this heritage. After four years, our representation from outside the metro areas is sadly lacking. The leadership team wants your input on what we can do to bring radio people in all Georgia markets into the membership, so that deserving Georgians from all parts of the state can be recognized. If you’d prefer not to post your input here, feel free to email us at [email protected]

I'm not sure how the current Board is structured, but....how about creating posts such as small-market rep, medium-market rep, large-market rep, and soliciting some nominees from them. That would help "enable" some of the other-sized market potential members? They can bring in members from "home".

Or you could split the state up into different areas and have two people from the same area as a rep. Actually, you could use the regions as defined by the state EAS plan to also define your areas.

Also, get the word out via the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) chapters around the state.
There are also some SBE "Chapter of the Air" Ham Radio networks that meet weekly...they could reach current and former area broadcasters, via the Ham bands.

A broadcasters' golf tournament might get some of the folks together in one place for a weekend. Advertise it through the various Country Clubs around the state.

A "Where Are They Now" thread on these boards can bring up a lot of names.
