"Grinch" Question

Anyone know why in the original cartoon, the last lines of the lyrics "... mangled up in tangled-up knots" and "... toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce" follow the stanzas that contain, respectively, "with a nauseous super-naus" and "you're the king of sinful sots"? According to the original song lyrics, the lines obviously go with the other stanzas, with which they rhyme.
 
I can't answer your question but I believe there were some scenes chopped out of the show tonight. That might be part of the issue.
