Groove 105.7 celebrates. . .

. . . Atlanta's Gay Pride over the weekend. Im assuming since the logo on the website represents the popular gay rainbow. Wonder if they were involved in any of the activities over the weekend? Maybe CC is serious about this station, especially if they're also targeting the large gay population here. Not so sure if Q100 and STAR 94 do so.

Q, B98.5, Groove and WMLB were in the parade. Groove was easy to miss. It was just a small car with a magnet on the side (they did hand out some cool postcards though).

Oh yeah.. I now remember seeing the WMLB booth in the park. I could have missed a mac truck in the parade. I was standing in front of my parish handing out water and guiding folks into the bell tower for rest rooms. At one point I had my back to the parade and a blue frisbee was tossed from a float and hit me in the back of the head. :)

I was just as confused when I saw the booth. The only thing going for them being at Pride is a large portion of the folks attending Pride live intown where WMLB has the best signal.

Okay, I have to ask? Is Groove 105.7 a live station with real air staff or is it just operating from a closet?

Wait, parish and gay pride parade? Does not compute...

I'd have to say that this thread indicates that they are out of the closet. ;D

I go to St. Luke's Episcopal Church. We are on the parade route. The parish has a hospitality station that offers water to the marchers and spectators... also, we open up the bell tower restrooms to the public. The great part is the group of 60 or so volunteers are straight, gay, families... a little of everything.

Since I am one of the coordinators of the event, I had my back to the parade a lot which is why I only saw Q100 and B98.5 come by.
