Ground zero with Clyde Lewis exiting terrestrial radio.

An announcement was made on the ground zero with Clyde Lewis facebook page that the show would be exiting radio at the end of the month.

They said they haven’t recieved any advertising revenue from stations in the past 4 months in addition to losing several affiliates in recent months since main host Clyde Lewis has been off the air dealing with health issues. Also they have been paying to rent studio space for the radio broadcast.

I don’t understand why exactly they wouldn’t be receiving a carriage fee from stations that do air the show as well as a portion of the ad revenue from those stations that run ads during that shows time slot, but apparently they aren’t recieving any compensation for some reason.

The Clyde Lewis show generally runs in late evenings or overnight. (It's live at 10pm-2am ET) No station is paying a carriage fee for overnight programming. They'd air a repeat before they'd pay cash to fill those hours.

The show is carried by a 3rd rate distributor who probably doesn't help much with ad sales. And ad sales have been a problem even for shows from Premiere and Westwood One.
