Groundhog day, all over again....and again

I'm usually up early, and listen to Jim Bohannon on KLVI in Beaumont, followed by the Texas in the Morning. At 5:30 AM, there is usually a Fox News update, followed by local KLVI news. At about 5:40 AM or so, there is a farm report. This is a report that appears to be syndicated, but for the last 2+ weeks, the same report has run every day. It is a report about ethanol in gasoline, and unless someone snaps to it, it will run again tomorrow. This used to happen occasionally with Paul Harvey's rest of the story when it ran at 5:55 AM, but usually was corrected within a day or so. I guess no one listens to the farm report, certainly not anyone at the station, or they would have done something about it by now.

This is just an example of why radio is dying, when no one at the station even pays attention to what they are running day after day after day on the air.

Jim Love, Harold Mann, and sometimes Al Caldwell are there during this time. It is apparent that none of them are paying attention.

By the way, it happened again today. I'm sure BASF loves the free publicity it receives for Kixor herbicide every day.

Out of curiousity... have you contacted the station and made them aware of it?

well, I called up one morning when I had time and no one answered the phone (this was between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM). KLVI's web site is not conducive to contacting staff - the "Tell us what you think" link presents a blank page - and there seem to be no email contacts listed on the site.

The standard cookie cutter CC web site antics seem to be in play here.

Here is the info I found on them. However, at 5:30 am the only people in the building are probably the morning show hosts. Calling after 8:00 am will probably yield better results.
