Group eyes Mobile's WLVV 1410 for Catholic programming

This could be pitifully late...so call me the History Channel if I am.

Archangel Communications, producers of the "Archangel Radio" internet radio ministry for Catholics, says their group has signed a letter of intent to buy a radio station. The Fairhope-based outfit never mentions the station by name, but they post a picture of WLVV 1410's daytime coverage map (from the Radio-Locator website).

Does anyone know where Jerry Katz is? He tried to get me to work there when he first signed on in 1994, I think during my first run in Albany. Dothan would have an early version of "YODA". Jerry was a class act and great to work for. Is K.W. Keene still at 94.3 in Dothan?

If it means anything to you, I was in Mobile today and flipped over to WLVV for a few. It's still playing gospel.

I spent the rest of my free time listening to the Zew. What's up with them playing the same songs every couple of hours?

I'm not sure what's up with the Zew...I haven't been to Mobile to hear them lately.
