Groups Call For Univision Boycott

Some immigrant rights activists are urging followers to boycott UNIVISION TV and radio unless the network publicly apologizes for an e-mail purportedly sent to employees ordering them not to participate in the upcoming MAY 1 "Day Without a Latino" job action.

The INLAND EMPIRE DAILY BULLETIN reports that a UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT RIVERSIDE professor, ARMANDO NAVARRO, distributed the memo to a meeting of representatives of Latino groups and the gathering voted to boycott UNIVISION. The groups want Latinos nationwide to stay home from work and school and refrain from purchasing anything on MAY 1.

Unfortunately, the e mail seen on TV was sent by an employee of another company, one that does outside consulting. Just shows you how this sort of thing gets started.
