gsn and comcast lies

I wrote to them and complained why the South/CC Philadelphia area is the only district where GSN is not carried, its carried on all of Comcast regions and all of the other cable systems, its a 20 year established channel, and everyone I know loves it. I received the same generic reply, about band width, not a popular channel, no room, and surveys, yadda- yadda- yadda-, what a bunch of bull. That is why Dish, Direct and soon to be Verizon are slowly destroying Comcast. GSN is no big deal to carry, they can put it on the higher digital tier, same as the other areas, the channel is vacant now 127, because GSN is not on it here...but Comcast has to give some insane reason...

in october of 2001 we had it on ch 79 for a night then the next day the golf channel was on :(

Yo, didn't anyone tell you South Philly is the Golf meca of the world. Man, get wit' it. I can't even begin to count how many golf balls are hit down Oregon Ave on a daily basis. And next summer Snyder Av. we be closed on a scheduled basis for tee time.

You forgot the sports capital of the universe and I hate sports, instead of sprawling shopping malls, good chain dining, clean air, we have 3 stadiums, oil refineries and 2 major highways right in our backyard, I am in the Reserve and believe me many golf balls find their way here from the FDR golfcourse....oh but we do have Tony Lukes, Chickie and Petes and of course Melrose, I would prefer a Bains, Famous, Rachels or Hermans..but what does a South Philly Yid know anyway.....:(

Don't make any sense that half of the city gets this channel and the other half doesn't.

For some strange reason this is the only channel that has never been carried on Comcast CC/S-SWP, everything else that is added to Comcast comes up on this area. The only reason I can see is back when this area was serviced by Greater Media cable they never carried GSN...and when Comcast took over they just left the analogs as is,,,,but that is no reason not to add it to the digital tier...just as it is on the other areas....and the weather channel still says Channel 82 when its on 45 they never bothered to change the prompt....Crapcast stinks...bottom line and we have to wait another 5 years for Verizon to get here....damn bureauocrats...sp

I am talking about verizon television.....there has not been one cable strung as in Chestnut Hill and the Northeast....
