Stunning how many signals in-market are no-shows (0.0) and the number of out-of-market stations making an above-the-line appearance. Clearly a way under-radioed market.

Some of the stations quit showing up (such as WMUU, who always got around a 2 share) for some reason a couple of books ago.

Yeah, this market is very under-radioed, especially since it's by far the largest market in the state. I've felt for quite some time that we could use a couple more decent signals. We didn't even have 106.3 or 96.7 until the early 00s. I chuckle when I read about Charleston and Columbia being so boring - they have way more variety and action than we do!

Those stations don't really have zeros....they just don't subscribe to Arbitron. Instead of embargoing a market, at the request of those who pay for Arbitron, they now list all the stations but zero out the ones not subscribing.

Ah, ok. Thanks Craig. Didn't know they started doing that. As you noted, they used to embargo the public release of the data.

and then there are those who actually believe that arbitron is a steadfast way of measuring audience.

Does The Planet do exceptionally well 18-34 or something? If not, Entercom needs to do something with that signal, such as re-launch the rock format or try something else. If they ever changed, Country might not be out of the question seeing CC gets a combined 14 share with it. I know 93.3 didn't work as country before but it might fare better now. Entercom's Wolf 93.1 in Greensboro has damaged CC's WTQR significantly.

Wow 97.1 WSRV from the Atlanta area made it all the way to GSP with a 1.0 share?
I don't get that station here in Gaffney unless it's during tropo,
and rare anymore for that matter since 97.1 W246BU signed on in Spartanburg not long ago.

Separately, why isn't Kiss 95.1 grabbing any numbers from the Upstate,
they have a strong following here in Gaffney and I know they also do in Spartanburg which is still in their city-grade coverage.

I can't even get 97.1 well enough in Simpsonville or a lot of Greenville to listen to it. That surprised me also.
I used to get 95.1 but the translator for 1600 WFIS in Fountain Inn on 94.9 FM has greatly interrupted their signal in the Simpsonville/Ftn Inn/Mauldin area and even below there.

Speaking of out of market, WPEG does pretty well given that WHZT right over at 98.1 starts messing with them in to Greenville. WBAV showed also. I guess there are some listeners desperate for an alternative to Jamz. BAV comes in well here, though.
