GST Simulcast on 94.9 HD3

I heard a rumor that GST is gonna simulcast on 94.9-HD3.

If True, Who's gonna go out and buy a HD Radio just to listen to WGST? ???

Not I.

It's a good idea, but no substitute for bringing back the 105.7 simul.

Although, I have to ask what the point is--WGST has a decent day signal, and the only after-dark programming of any account is the Braves, which are simulcasted on The Bull anyway.

Also, when I can't get Rush on WGST well I can usually use WDUN as a backup.

I wonder if it'll have the same crap audio quality as the 640AM signal has. Worst audio quality in this market is 640AM. Even the smaller AM stations in/near the market sound better.

I think it would be another reason to buy HD radio
If you like Rush you could listen in noise free digital.....same for Dave Ramsey. There is other programming on WGST which is....well...at least better than listening to the mental masterbation on music stations.

Hey Tom,

HD Radios will have to get a lot cheaper for the masses to purchase. They are still too expensive! HD Radio truly has an up hill battle one it just may lose. Most of the decent talk is already on the satellite channels anyway.

I totally agree! The prices are still much too high.
Was that you doing afternoons on the Oldies Channel 106.7 last week? It sure did sound like you....

I just checked and it's already on 94.9 HD3. If you think 640 sounds like crap you ought to hear it on HD3 with the crappy audio plus the artifacs low bitrate stream!
