GSTV

It was hard to decide where to place this post as far as category goes...but assuming that this might be considered utility transmission...let's asked the question. I have a Circle K that has the Gas TV system on top of the pumps. I noticed the antennas that are transmitted from the buildings to the pumps and looks like it might transmit from the 800 mhz range. Does anyone know if the programming comes down from Satellite to be re transmitted by an FM signal to the pumps? Or is the programming looped? What is the frequency range for GSTV?

Some Murphy USA stations at Wal Mart have GSTV. It runs in about a 5 minute loop with ads, news, sports, and entertainment briefs, and a brief national weather forecast. They also have a network for inside convienence stores called C-Store TV. Here are the links for them:

According to the websites both networks are IP based, so if you saw antennas then they are probably getting the signal through wireless Internet.

None of the Circle K or Shell stations in my area have them, though I noticed at least one Mobil station in Tampa having some sort of pump-side TV set-up.
