Guardians baseball going from Bally Sports to Scripps?

I read an article today that Bally will most likely end deals with the Cleveland Guardians and Texas Rangers before the 2024 season. I read another article (months ago) that Scripps Sports had something ready in case something like this would happen. What is the possibility the Guardians games will go to Scripps here in NE Ohio, possibly ending up on Ion or another subchannel?

The Rangers deal will continue through the end of the 2024 season. But the Guardians may end before. According to this, the MLB has a plan in place:


Sounds like the plan would either be then to have MLB handle the streaming rights, or the Guardians would try to find another TV company to broadcast the games. It also doesn’t seem like this fiasco is ending any time soon.

Unless someone buys Diamond out of bankruptcy court, which is always a possibility.
