Northern New Brunswick is a predominately French speaking region. Even considering that I'm surprised in 1980 they didn't carry the American "Big Three" affiliates.

Which was odd, given that CHSJ had a Campbellton-licensed relay, CHCR-TV, which actually transmitted from CHAU's tower on Mont St-Joseph, on the western outskirts of Carleton. Kedgwick and St-Quentin had CHSJ relayed from Bon Accord, in Victoria County.
