Now that it's Christmas Eve, I'd have to say the song I heard the most this year between B101, WJBR, and some internet stations had to be the Carpenters' version of "Sleigh Ride." Unusual because I don't recall hearing it that often in past years. But the good thing is, it replaced "Merry Christmas Darling." No. 2 most heard (for me) was probably a toss-up between the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Sarajevo Christmas Eve" and David Foster's "Carol of the Bells." It's hard telling those 2 instrumentals apart.
And what happened to 1340 WHAT this year? Last year they played several weeks of continuous nice Christmas standards seldom heard anywhere else. But this year I never heard one every time I tuned in, so I stopped listening altogether. Besides, they seem to have become just a regular oldies station.
