Guess which song is "surprisingly viable"?

It's because it's so realistic. Two people discover at the same time they are trying to cheat on each other through personal ads. "And she said 'ah it's you'". Then they laugh it off. Gee!

I need to write a 2009 version:

It was my own lovely lady
And she said "dude we're through".
Then we both called our lawyers
and told Craiglist "I'm gonna sue".

I talked to Rupert Holmes a few weeks ago. He would probably be willing to sing on your version. He's a most kind sole who
did not let his music go to his head. He loves Sarge as he and Barbara at Mix have been programming his music more than
all other stations combined on the planet. I'll hear about this post. :0

In an age of imitators...

I remember an episode of Sisters in which Frankie (the sister played by Julianne Phillips, aka the first Mrs. Bruce Springsteen) "meets" her ex, Mitch, (played by the guy from Hill Street Blues, don't recall his name) online.  At any rate, Frankie is unknowingly blasting Mitch, to Mitch, while Mitch is unknowingly going off on Frankie, to Frankie!  At any rate, they agree to meet each other, and each is astonished when the other shows up, while that mysterious "significant other" is nowhere to be seen!  Since they were separated (and possibly divorced) by then, there was no "oh, it's you!" when they met.  Rather, they just continued their arguing with each other!

Oh, and if you see, or talk to, Rupert, tell "him" that "Him" was my fave by "him"!  ;D

Love the song. It's on my Ipod and I can play it until I hate it.

Have you ever pondered how the world has changed.
Who is today's reality, waits around for your favorite song to played on radio station?
Wade through a hundred or more tunes your don't like, endless chatter and commercials just to hear your favorite song.

That is so last century, as my daughter would say.

NBC still airs shows with this plot; in this case, the difference is, the person most often being told "oh, it's you" is Chris Hanson. ::)
