They just released a Greatest Hits album on October 25th.... but with virtually no promotion, so you probably haven't heard about it until now. I'd think they'd be jealous of the Backstreet Boys' surprising comeback success, but so far no new material has been announced. Maybe Justin Timberlake is too self-important to realize that the Janet Jackson Superbowl stunt blew out whatever remaining glowing embers were left of his solo career.

I'll give Backstreet Boys credit: Though I'm not into the whole prefab pop thing, all the members are talented and can sing lead as well as harmony, and their new album proves that they can evolve with the times into something more mature.

On the other hand, 'NSYNC has only two members that can sing lead (and both are very high-pitched and nasal, off-putting to anyone who isn't a female under the age of 18) and appropriately had a sound that was very juvenile, meant for playing at full blast at your local Chuck E. Cheese and nowhere else.

Hopefully 'NSYNC will do the right thing, and remain dormant. I know they don't have it in them to evolve with the times anyway.

NSYNC has a GH album out right now...looks like people have grown out of bubblegum-pop.
