Guilty Pleasures

KXAM=Twilight Zone dramas on Friday Nights/Sat morns at 1:00. KKNT=Ron Sherman on weekends-weak signal, great show though.. KOY, now and then-they have become what KSAZ used to be, w/o Dan Babich and Ceale Peterson of course. KFYI-OK, I know I used to complain about Jan D'Atri, but after the economic crash in 2009, she came on the air very reverent (sp) and kind and said now was the time to nurture what we love, our homes and families and we don't know how this will turn out but we know who we will be with as it does, yada blah, and you KNOW she made a lot of people feel better and I admired her for it. Started listening to she and mama while I do yardwork and I love them, they're so arizona, like ladmo, like us. Of course, The Lumberyard, where Kookie and Cricket are forever young, and so are we. KFYI=Savage, when he's foaming at the mouth then has to calm himself down to keep from bursting an artery and starts talking about the bad chinese food he ate or a childhood story about growing up in NY-funny!

KFNX: Neal Boortz and his rants on how people's lives revolve too much around entertainment and sports news. He's like America's "get off my lawn" grandfather of the radio, and reminiscent of another former KFNX personality, albeit local--Bob Mohan. Now, if the station is listening, could you replace Lars Larson with Michael Smerconish, and you'd be guaranteed a listener despite other stations bleeding over your signal at that time?

KKNT: Dennis Miller just seems so out of place on this station (and every other Salem-owned station that carries him). It's hard to admit even listening to this station, but he sucks me in sometimes.

KDUS: Drew & Jordan in the morning. I just feel bad for them listening to the first hour when they have only one or two callers (sometimes no one calls them during the hour).

KTAR 620: Bobby V. on Friday and Saturday nights.

KJZZ: That food-related show on Sundays (just kidding). Honestly, I find myself tuning in to Car Talk, followed by On The Media every Sunday.

KBSZ: After a month, it's already become legendary.

KDKB: "The House of Hair" on Saturday evenings.

KEDJ: Mandatory Marley at 4:20
KFYI: Coast to Coast AM
KTAR: The God Show w/ Pat McMahon (I'm one of its 5 listeners)
KTAR: Voice To America w/ Tony Femino (when it's not pre-empted)
KWSS: Dani's Diner (when I'm in range of its signal)
KZZP: The Sunday-morning Top 40 show, which has changed (again), to...Perez Hilton?

Jack DeAngelis, he is on 1100 every spare hour they have to sell, I think he only has done 5 shows but they play them every day. He is some kind of coin dealer and no one listens as he does trivia questions that are frighteningly easy "Abbot and ...?" and he gives away useless things like $10,000 Vietnamese currency (he doesn't call it what it is, the Dong, or that its worth only 50 cents.

Its a bizarre show, not sure what he is selling, as I only catch it in snippets. Oh and his voice, deep nasally Brooklyn, think Danny Devito in "Taxi" and make it thicker.

Very strange stuff.

KMVQ - CLUB 99.7 & House Nation
KFYI - Coast to Coast, mostly on Wednesdays
TBS - Everybody Loves Raymond

I'll just leave it at that for now.

KTAR - ~ Bruce ~ ..... on KTAR
KTAR - Mac & Gaydos & Joe Crummey
KZZP - Club Kiss
KZON - Friday & Saturday night Jamsession + Breakfast Beatdown + Holiday Weekend Mixes
KFYI - Nearly Famous Barry Young
