Hagerstown/Chambersburg Fall '09

In looking at the 12 plus numbers, it appears to be a heavy Hagerstown diary drop. With WLTF and WICL getting the spikes that they did, I can't think of any other reason, unless Joe Sanchez is that good. WICL is an automated jukebox that plays good oldies but is low budget. They use cut-up "COOL" jingles that just sing "95-9" along with an endless supply of Gary Michaels liners. I can see the novelty of some of the songs they play that you can't hear anywhere else.....but to get a 4 share? Got to be the diary drop!

Awhile back on DCRTV.com there were a number of emails posted about WICL and how they were planning on dumping oldies to become all sports using the WEPM-FM calls. I remember DCRTV even going as far at one point as saying it was a done deal. Of course there were a number of "opinions" as to why that never became reality. Everything from WEPM's Jay Young's sudden stroke to WEPM News Director Hans Fogel didn't want to "go FM" to even..whats in it for Gary Michaels? WICL did end up losing the Hagerstown Suns to WJEJ and I believe they lost West Virginia University sports as well. So much for "SportsTalk 95.9" or whatever it was supposed to be anyway.
