Hal & Charley KHOW

I was listening recently to a tape a friend sent me here in Pennsylvania of Denver radio in 1978 and there was a lot of the Hal & Charley show on KHOW. Seemed like a good old-time MOR morning show. One day they were broadcasting from a listener's home, another from a haunted house. I got curious & searched the web & found that the show lasted into the '90's, Charley is retired and Hal went to KXKL with a 5 year deal, was let go after 1 year in 2003 and sued for age discrimination.

My questions: When did the show end on KHOW and why? Did Charley retire then?
What happened with Hal's lawsuit, and is he still on the air anywhere? Any other thoughts or stories? Thanks!

Also had another short clip on the tape from KHOW & was surprised to hear Harry Smith as a dj!

Hal & Charlie ended on KHOW shortly after the station went all talk. Early 90s I think. Charlie's contract was not renewed by either Nobel or Viacom. Hal is doing part-time for an oldies format for Jones Satellite Network. His age discrimination suit is scheduled for a hearing in October.
