Hal Jackson, a Black Broadcaster Pioneer

Hundreds, at least of Black radio and television broadcasters owe it to Hal Jackson. And this is just a short list of those who are or should be thankful that there was ever a Hal Jackson.

1) Bob Teague one of the first if not the first Black TV newscasters on local television back in the 1960s.
2) Billy Taylor hosted a radio show on WNEW-AM/FM in the mid 60s
3)Frankie Crocker, WWRL, WMCA and WBLS
4) Oprah Winfree the first to host a nationally TV talk show.

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

Are you forgetting WABeatleC's Charles Wesley "Chuck" Leonard in your list.
Growing up in one of those other thirty eight states, his was one of the few NYC voices I heard.

If you're going to include Oprah on the list, you may as well add Arsenio[oooooooooooooooooo] Hall. ;)
