He had surgery on his hand. He wanted to be back today but the doctor's said not until Monday. I too have missed him. But rest assured he is not 'dead'.

Yeah, leave my pal Hal alone!!! No, the hand thing was last week (trigger finger.) This week, he's having a defibrillator (sp?) installed, which will automatically "shock" his heart should it stop beating. He'll be out at least another day (Thurs) but hopefully he'll make it a long weekend and get some rest. A helluva way to wind up his 25 year anniversary, with all his recent health problems. Get well soon, Hal!

I got my first AICD (automatic implantable cardio defibrilator) in 1992. I'm working on #5 right now (the batteries wear out). Having a unit and having been given
"therapy" 25-30 times over the last 15 years, I do wish Hal the very best. It's marvelous, life saving technology.

I hope that WBAP will beef up its obscenity delay though, when that thing fires, it does so without warning. It feels like you're being kicked in the chest by a mule. I can only hope that Hal isn't on a live mic when the defib decides to do its thing. The language could be....interesting!
