Haley Jones "Sound"s off

From LARadio.com Don Barrett today:

"Haley Jones, most recently apd/md at 100.3/The Sound, is headed to KPRI-San Diego as program director"

Good luck to Haley, San Diego is getting a great talent

Hopefully she'll be given some latitude at PRI. Bob Hughes is a good man and a smart broadcaster - he's made a fine choice. And Haley will finally get to shine again in the format she loves.

A win-win if there ever was one!

CONGRATS HALEY... I wish her the best of luck down south. I was in SD for the Charger/Washington game last weekend and I was splitting my time listening between KPRi and KiFM (Still my favorite station on the planet) - Good Luck and hopefully to meet her again (Maybe on the Hornblower cruise concert) Peace - Joe Goria

Haley is one of those rare people who can always make you feel better about yourself after any encounter with her. I'm disappointed she's leaving, but after a few days to mull on it, my frown has been flipped. It's absolutely a promotion. She'll be closer to her fiancee. But most importantly, her love of NEW music and specifically the Triple A format will be, ummm, shall we say.."requited." I've been honored to work with her for these last 18 months LA Radio has lost a true Gem.
