Years ago, when I was Ops Mgr of WDCF, the owners started phasing-in a Mexican-Tejano format, which proved more successful than the previous country format. Interesting to see a Spanish format has proliferated on 1350. The old WPAS was purchased by WDCF during my tenure and I was in fact the one, who chose the WZHR calls. I would have thought the Adult Standards format (which was very popular at the time) could have survived, interesting to see 1400 is now religious.
Back when I was Ops Mgr, both stations were providing almost all local programming and even local news (Pasco 20/20 News I think it was called) and even had a 24-hour weather line which was updated all the time. Are 1350 and 1400 managed by East Pasco interests, i.e. are they operated as local stations?
