Hall/New London Stations Not Streaming

It appears that the streams for all of Hall Communications' New London stations, including oldies KOOL 101, as well as country 97.7 WCTY and classic rock/alternative hybrid 98.7 The Sound, are down. This has been the case for the past few days.

And it does not appear to be a local issue, as streams for other Hall stations such as WPCV in Winter Haven, FL do not play.

Is Hall in the process of changing streaming providers? Or have they stopped streaming their stations altogether?

They are in fact changing their streaming provider over to STREAM THE WORLD. I follow WCTK 98.1 Cat Country out of Providence (WCTY's sister station) on Facebook and they put out a message on Monday that their new Streaming software was up and running and gave a STREAM THE WORLD URL for their stream.

I guess the technology hasn't reached Connecticut yet - but it's only a matter of time, I guess... Thanks, Marc!

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd bump this one. Seems Hall's New London stations - on StreamTheWorld - are currently down. I know Kool went down yesterday afternoon at around 1 PM, and still down today. Checked WCTY's stream - no response there, either. Other Hall stations' streams (e.g. Max 98.3 in Florida and even Cat Country in Providence) are active, so this issue must be exclusive to their Connecticut cluster.

Streaming of the cluster should be up now. Problem was with the local networking within the building....some of us with no internet or email....others unaffected. Prep being made for new phone system....folks crawling around snaking stuff through walls and ceilings.....but oddly enough the problems weren't related to that...just coincidence. And to think I played Chase and Get It On....only to find out all the folks listening "on the stream" couldn't hear it. I went marching into the "Big Office" and said this is unacceptable !! Stream was restored very shortly thereafter....(but again, not related to that either !)

Now only if they could get WICH online.

I would LOVE to listen to Stu Bryer's show but can't pull in WICH up here in Hartford.

Jim: Does the new phone system mean that Kool 101 will be parting ways with the current "Kool Phone" number that actually dates back to when it was the "Tide Phone" (8433 = "TIDE") from the previous format?

Diamond Joe--

The "coveted" (I mean Koveted with a "K") KOOL-phone # will remain the same !

Jim

Wow Diamond Joe...

Wonder if that 45 in the YouTube video was filmed at RookieII's house !

Every single one of Hall's stations not streaming this morning... What's going on?

You're sick and obsessed. ;) Even the station I used to post about frequently I didn't post about every time someone at the station farted.
