Halloween Dance Music

nd2023

Which dance songs/remixes would be great to play on Halloween (can be from any time, not just today's hits)?

My fried Nadia has a ton of Halloween Techno tracks,, most are cheesy,, some are pretty good... Also, I think any kind of music like Gabber- or Terrorcore AKA Deathcore, some Dark Hardstyle is great for this time of year,,, lots of samples from Horror movies,,, Woman screaming,,, Profanity and death threat msges from Dark or shouted male vocals, and beats that can lead up to over 400 BPM..... Also, on the mainstream side you got the Chris Willis mix of Ghostbusters, Micheal jackson-Thriller---Yes its still Dance Music, or it was back then,,,, And last but not least, theirs a Breakbeat Drum Loop mix of Monster Mash from Bobby Boris Picket... BTW,, I probably wouldnt play these tracks until Halloween day, and just maybe once a year for a dance station.

IM not a big fan of Meat Beat Manifesto-- Its just not my style... I love About anything from Nine Inch Nails,, I wish their were more edgier Dance stations around that played some Cross over Alternative Dance and Industrial.. Rob Zombie has a couple of remixes for Living Dead Girl that might work this time of year maybe to just be played once a year... Also, Anyone remember The KLF,,, they have a song called Grim Up North, not really Halloween Music but errie and dark sounding. Also, what about that Dance with the Devil Song from like 2000-2001, It was real Trancy, kinda hard dance and dark,, but a bit cheesy too.. Also, Zombie Nation-KernKraft 400 would make a good Halloween song,, and their are many Dance remixes of the classic Cranberries hit Zombie,,, some are hard and dark, others are real over the top Euro with bad accents.

To keep this going I'll list a few more, not nesasarily Halloween tracks, but fit the theme well. Faithless-Insomnia
Pendulum-Propane Nightmares...Former Number one in the UK,,, its a Drum and Bass track with a Rock intro.
Scooter-Weekend...

Basically anything like Chicago hard House-Hard Trance-Hardstyle-Dark House-Dark Breaks-Dark Tribal,,, any of these genre's arent really Halloween music, but all you need is a dark Halloween theme..RIGHT?

Also, let me add a few more tracks to this list

Green Velvet-The Stalker (losing my mind)

Also,, Not Dance, but more Rap-Rock with some Breaks tracks,,, Anything by ICP Insane Clown Possee,, but it would be hard to edit it clean enough for radio, and this would be way outta place on a Pure dance station unless it was a Rhythmic Dance-Hip Hop hybrid, like Party 105

Sash-Mysterious Times or the newer 2008 version

Da Hool-Love Parade.

Brainbug-Nightmare... (Sinister strings mix)

Way Out West-Mid Circus-Gabriel and Dresdon Remix

Lightforce-Join Me in Death....

Depeche Mode-World in my eyes.

Again,, None of the above are actual Halloween songs,, but they are dark, or strange enough for a good Halloween Mixshow or party.

Whodini – Haunted House of Rock (4:35 – 4:16)

oh, and "Flesh Eater" by Srcewface

Thats a great list Manny,,, lots of variety there,, and although I already mentioned some of them, thats cool,,, some of those are Rap or Rock-Industrial songs,,, but those kinda songs can work on Halloween,,, I would play the White zombie version of Im your Booogie Man,, but I wouldnt play KC and the sunshine band unless I was catering to the older than 40 group.

That Siouxie and the Banshee's Peak A boo track is excellent for Halloween,, Although more of a Modern Rock hit at the time,,, I actually love this song, and it samples Jeepers Creepers...
