Hammarlund Receivers!

Anyone here collect 'em??

Anyone know of a reputable, reasonably-priced person
that does minor repairs on 'em?
I'm near Indianapolis FWIW

Thanx...

Jim,

Hammerlunch receivers are very popular in AM circles. I run an HQ-129X at my station, and am always on the lookout for an HQ-170A or HQ-180.

I can almost guarantee you'll find someone in your area who can fix it (or give you whatever you need to fix it yourself) on amfone.net. I would try the technical forum first. Good bunch of folks with gallons of know-how.

Good luck!

I have a bunch of them, I'm listening to an HQ-180 right now in my living room. I have three SP-600's, 2 SP-400's and 2 SP-200's. Great radios.

Yeah, they are great!
Unfortunately, I lost 4-5 of them in a flood that wasted my basement last June.
One of my biggest regrets is having parted with the SP-600 I had many years ago--it had been recapped and worked like a charm!!
