My bad, it's been crazy in my world lately & I hadn't seen/heard it 'til it showed up in my in-box.

Re: 1490 The Outlaw WLRT?

I thought 1490 WLRT was running Fox Sports. What are they running instead?
They are listed some places as oldies & Fox Sports, but I put on their morning drive today and they were playing country.

Re: 1490 Format Change to Country & Racing?

Listening on line this afternoon WLRT is running a satellite country "today's hits & yesterday's favorites" feed with racing promos too. VARTV still lists the oldies/Fox Sports/racing format. If they returned to country, wonder why they didn't go back to classic country since it was dropped after WCMS went to the classic country fromat on FM then briefly on 1050. I guess they're going after younger audiences into both contemporary country & racing.

Any room for Joe Hoppel now on 1490?

WLRT has flipped Formats alot in the past few years from Southern Rock to Classic Country to Good time Oldies to Oldies/FOX Sports then Country in Morning/Oldies Afternoons/FOX Nights. Now they'ed been meanly Country for awhile now and had cut back on the FOX Sports. The Afternoon Guy Keith "Bucky" Bennett for some reason left the station and was last heard on "COOL 92.1"<P ID="signature">______________

The "flip" is on VARTV.com...

Man, that listing was outdated... Can't keep track of all the format adjustments in the last few years...
