Handel on the Law is sometimes depressing to listen to

Because it reminds me that death is around the corner. One show managed to cover all these legal issues:

-"Who can I get to create a will?" (of course it's Legal Zoom)
-"My mother died and the cemetery buried her in the wrong place."
-"My sister passed away and her assets are in a trust and now the beneficiary is attempting to sell assets that aren't hers."
-"The executor of my uncle's will is trying to screw me out of it."

It's actually quite rare that you'll hear a show that does not include at least a couple calls about a will or a trust. A few weeks ago a 14-year-old called in, and Bill sounded shocked that he had a young listener.

I have two basic rules:

1) Do not call a radio lawyer for legal problems.
2) Do not call a radio psychologist for mental problems.

However Handel can be somewhat amusing at times. That program is by the way how he got his foot in the door of broadcasting. As for Legal Zoom, my friends who have used it to set up corporations were more than satisfied.

Handel keeps on talking abut retiring from the morning show and moving to Reno when his girls are out of the house in a few years. I hope he continues to do Handel on the Law for many years after that. Makes Saturday mornings worth getting up for.

Or Saturday mornings worth sleeping in and Saturday afternoons worth podcasting. :)

Perhaps Handel and Rush can retire at the same time. Or maybe Dr. Laura will have had enough. That would be fun.

With his abrasive on-air style I'm surprised the older folks listen to him.

a) They think he's joking.
b) The audience of talk radio isn't as affluent as you think (nor as spendthrift as AEs would like you to think).
