Handel On The Law on KFI

I've spent some time trying to figure out when Handel on The Law comes on KFI -- is it voice tracked for five-some hours? I know that he has his show syndicated by Cox, but since he is on KFI I'm trying to discern if any of the show is done "live." If not, they have the automation thing done very well.

Anyone out there to break the illusion?

The way I see it, he's on from 7:00am to 11:00 am. I think 7:00 to 8:00 is taped because I've heard repeat calls during that hour. I'm thinking the rest is live because at the end of the show, he has a brief interview with Leo Laporte for the upcoming tech show. But then, during the week he announces that he will be taking calls off air from his regular morning show for Handel on the Law.

He tapes the whole thing on the Friday morning after concluding his regular show. He promos that he will take the calls off-air for airing the subsequent day. The conversation with Leo Laporte is done on Friday morning as well.

And despite being recorded, Premiere (who syndicates it, not Cox) takes a whole week to edit out his KFI voicetrack elements before the send it out to affiliates... whatever you heard on KFI yesterday will be national next week?!

Well that just stinks! LOL

WTKK, (his Boston affiliate) plays his show on Sun afternoon 1-4pm ET so a long time ago when I did some checking, I found it was done live (or now so I thought) at 6am PT Sat morning, so when possible, instead of waiting until Sunday to hear it in Boston, I would listen to KFI's stream on Saturday morning. Now that's taped???? UGH!

But who can blame him really, he gets up so early during the week, it would suck if he had to get up that early on a saturday too.

"You're name is Habeeb? Let me guess, you're gonna sue?" Love it!!!!
