FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
AM 690 WIST Radio brings Nationally syndicated host Sean Hannity to New Orleans

AM 690 WIST radio, which recently returned to the New Orleans airwaves after hurricane Katrina, announced today that Marconi Award winner Sean Hannity will broadcast his daily radio show from the AM 690 WIST studios on Thursday January 5, 2006.

With over 14 million listeners nationwide, Sean Hannity is the second most listened to radio talk show host in the country and the first to broadcast from New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. “This is a great opportunity for the rest of America to hear what is happening in New Orleans from one of the most respected news commentators in the nation” according to AM 690 WIST General Manager Dan Frazier. “We are thrilled to be able to put a spotlight on our city during this most critical time and we cannot wait for Mr. Hannity to see the city and share his thoughts with the rest of the nation”.

Mr. Hannity is also co-host of the highly rated “Hannity & Colmes” on Fox News Channel.

Did I read this right???

Sean Hannity is one of the "most respected news commentators in the nation?"

Respected by whom? Partisans?

Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Ed Schultz, AAR, Al Franken, etc., are to journalism what pro wrestlers are to athletics.

You're corrrect, they are not journalists. More importantly, I believe the idea of the original post was to inform everyone that a national talk show host is visiting our state to do a live national show, not to start aimless political bickering.
Edited by stevenNOLA on 01/03/06 10:10 PM.

Re: Date changed sorry

Mr Hannity is still planning a visit, the date though has changed. He will now be in town on Thursday the 12th, a week later. I apologize, I was just informed this morning.

There was nothing political about my statement. I pointed out blithering mouthpieces from both sides of the aisle.

Ron, zip it up.... We know how you feel, and really don't care, so shut up.
