Happy 25th Anniversary, WFAN

I was listening to Boomer and Carton at about 9:30 when Joel Hollander phoned in. Although it is "water under the bridge" I shut off my radio since I did not want to listen to that low life after he orchestrated the events of 6/3/05.

I can clearly remember listening and recording the switch from 66 WNBC to 66 WFAN. Alan Colmes was the last personality to be heard on 'NBC. Hard to believe it's been 25 years.

A group of us gathered in the newsroom at the station I worked at to listen to those final moments and the transition of 660 AM to Sports radio. It was revolutionary for the time and a testament that they're still plugging away a quarter century later.

I still have that audio on a 10 minute cart! I wish I got the transition on 1050 but from what I remember the 1050 switch had a technical issue and programming didn't start for a time.
