Happy 30th Anniversary to WRKS Kiss-FM

I remember this station since I was young until my 20's since I used to taped music off the radio, but that brought back some memories. I just want to say congrats to WRKS' "Kiss-FM" at 98.7 for 30 years of excellence. There is an article posted about "Kiss-FM" for the last 30 years.

Are they planning to do a special weekend for the 30th anniversary? I checked the site, that it still doesn't stream. WPDH did very well with the 35th Anniversary Weekend honoring the return of the original jocks since the station started back in 1976. I have all of these airchecks from WPDH posted in the Hudson Valley board.

Anyways, Happy 35th Anniversary, "Kiss-FM"!!!!

Happy 30th Anniversary to WRKS Kiss-FM,

I remember the good old days. The days of good local and national music. Wonderful air personalites like Yvonne Mobley,Charlie Berger,Wanda Ramos,Mary Thomas and Chris Welch. Sophistica-Urban without the Ghetto lingo.

Today, the imaging is still slick, but the music is a payola mess. A bunch of syndicated shows thrown together with a few ghetto DJs (Little Nat & Cocoa Chanelle).

The station's 2.6 PPM rating says a lot. It's 25-54s are way at the bottom of the barrel. Hope they get it together soon.

I remember their "We're moving to your neighborhood (fill in the blank)" liners.

It was a precurser of their identifier changing to 98.7 as opposed to 99(X)FM.

The 30th anniversary of Kiss-FM means much more than the 30th anniversary of MTV, moreso because Kiss-FM is still playing music after all these years.

Happy Birthday to 98.7 Kiss and Z-100.

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

Z-100's own big 3-0 will be approaching in a couple of years...
