Happy 58th Birthday to Oedipus

given past musings regarding the nom'd-du-rock Oeddie... very decent of you, sir.

and yeah, happy birthday to Oedipus! we're never too old to rock & roll - or so say the poets of our generation.

Age is just a number. I saw John Butcher Axis and Charlie Farren and the reformed Balloon play a few weeks ago and they were far better not only musically but the energy level was higher than any young band I've seen in years.

I'm impressed with the reports I've heard re: Balloon and Jon Butcher. I hear they are going to do it again, possibly in November.

I heard late October is booked at the Bullrun again though I'm not sure if JBA is playing. It sounds like hopefully Balloon is a go, I believe they are waiting for Charlie Farren to confirm. I've also been told they are considering trying to find a location in Boston for a full night of JBA.

They did shoot a DVD the first night which is currently being edited by a friend of mine.
