Yes, Happy 90th birthday KWG! The oldest station in the Central Valley and one of the oldest stations in the country. Once a fine institution and a great full service radio station for Stockton. Well, now you can hear the Rosary and weather together every 10 minutes on the 5's.

what happened to KWG they used to be a greaat station?

Some might say that hearing or praying the Rosary is much better than listening to the tiresome traffic reports or weather reports - that no one cares about or can do about anyway. If you are stuck in a freeway backup -- its already to late. Saying the Rosary - might be the best thing to listen to or to do.

Back in the late 1950's and thru 1961 Top40 XEAK Tijuana would broadcast the Rosary Hour, which was only a 15 minute program right after 45 minutes of Horse Racing Results right before a half hour of Garner Ted Armstrong and then back to current hits.

I liked Garner Ted Armstrong He made you think

Just to clarify for MisterGort and others, before May 1961 690 was XEAK. Around that time 1470 was XEAU.
XEAK-690 became XETRA on May 6, 1961.
