Happy Birthday KZPO

15 years "on the air". Still going strong. And they said it wouldn't last. Pretty good for "a lunch box in a broom closet".

Wish they would move to the new transmitter site that KJUG 106.7 and KCRZ 104.9 are going, they would be a blowtorch from Fresno to Bakersfield.

Or both? Any ideas if they plan to stream again - or move to tune in or I heart? Miss listening to this unique format and the wonderful sound of Steve jay

Jay Stevens ( AKA Steve Jay, et al ) "Is" the station. Otherwise, "KingsRadio" would be just a small suitcase in a broom closet. Without Jays' voice and programming, there would be no "KingRadio". Jay is one of the "Jocks" that I would listen to, and wanted to be, when I was a kid. Even when Jay had some bad health problems, God blessed him and made Jays' voice even stronger. Without Jay Stevens at the main radio board, "KingsRadio" may not see another birthday.

I don't think "KingsRadio" is looking to move right now. If they do -- it will be to a site near Camp Nelson at + 6400 feet with a full 25 KW ERP + 100 M HAAT. Coverage would equal that of a Class C1.
