It's been a year since KCBS-FM dropped their tired ARROW format for JACK...and the green beer is flowing in Los Angeles today.

Jack -

ya know they still make a mean Green label Jack here in TN.
Think that would be much more appropriate. And more fun.

Nice choice! I'm not sure that feeding (recently watered down to) 80 proof Tennesee Whiskey to the fine boys & girls of the Southlands is the best way to keep listeners. I think the characters at the Chuck E. Cheese party might be a bit scared at that point.

However, the aged output of Moore County are the favorite liquids consumed here at the Radio Bunker. Got to try the 94 proof "single barrel" soon. That's suppose to be "shweeeet" (as The Grease would say).

You've solved the riddle. MusicloverII doesn't like proper nouns.
Hey, that's the problem. No stations with animal names. Sorry :(

Happy Birthday to you, you belong in a Zoo, you look like a monkey-

Oh wait, that's the San Diego Jack, uh never mind...

93.1 "Jack" is a year old this past week. I'm not really sure if 101.1 will have a 1-year anniversary starting June 3rd to celebrate the same format as 93.1. The Los Angeles version of "Jack" did very well, but in New York City, not good for this same format after dropping oldies on 101.1. I don't listen to "Jack" too much all the time.

When you complain about the Jack naysayers, do you think it is appropriate to dis another format? Someone who put that on probably thought it was as genius a move as the Jack format. :-\

For this I had to log back in to this place?ARROW 93 was - after ten years - tired. That isn't a slam on the format, just the radio station that needed to pick up new listeners.CJ

CJ --- I was not able to log on --- tooooo many brain cells from drinking over the years (and, truthfully) having way to muchwork to do... to mention that 96.3 Jack FM in Nashvegas celebrated numero uno on the 12 of May. Why did you not mentionthat (or did you???) It's only one of the top performing VH stations in the world. No love for Market #44, huh? At least no one wantedto spank Jack --- I hope.

You really want to try something unreal, see if you can dig up a bottle of Lem Motlow --- virtual moonshine from Jack Daniels. It's off themarket now for almost 20 years, but I hear you can buy it online for $1000 to $1,200 a bottle. I'm not sure you'd like the SB JD as much as Gentleman Jack - which is filtered twice. There's just not enough "edge" on # 94. Sort of likea rye taste, not as round and sweet.I'll have to get a bottle to ya.
