HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JMF!

Happy Birthday John Mack Flanagan!

Although it is your birthday, you should be receiving! But you keep on giving and giving.

Thank you so much for being a part of this board. Words cannot express how much your input has infused this site!

Enjoy, because you deserve it!!! ;D

Thank You 106.9! I mentioned at the beginning of "The New Beginning" it's taken a lot to get me to this point: where I can write and express myself about something I'd done from age 17 to 53. I left radio with such hard feelings. But something's new now ... I don't know what I hope to accomplish? I don't know what I expect or want or need or hope to see happen? I'm just putting word after word, after word down on these posts and letting my mind and emotions and memories carry me along. Kenny in Concord (XM) and hagarty, and 106.9 have all inspired me to keep on keepin' on! I had planned to stop weeks ago, but something makes me keep on posting. I really felt after my Datebook letter regarding MAXfm, maybe it was time to shut it down and walk away, but here I am. In the back of my mind I guess it's like my time behind a mic, there might be one person; just one person who connects with me and that makes it all worthwhile. The effort and time an concentration all pays off for that one person. In my highrise security job one of my coworkers said to me, "You wish people a good night! What a bunch of crap! I'm not gonna do that! It's not my JOB!!!" I said, "Hey ____ maybe my words are the only kind words someone hears. What's wrong with that?" My Dad used to say, "It doesn't cost anything to be nice to somebody." Maybe if I'm nice, I can change my world, change my building, change the communication business??? I know this: Life is a TWO way street. Maybe I give a little to you, but you give a LOT to me. More than you'll ever know. ... -John-

Hi John,

Happy Birthday to you from one of your old counterparts.
No neet to explain to anyone your comments, until they have walked in your shoes.
They are big shoes to fill.
All the best to you my friend!

Jack Friday

Happy Birthday John, You wished us many birthday greetings through the years and we certainly hope you had a good birthday and a Big Hello to Jack Friday, glad to see Jack here on the board, Hope the east coast is treating you well Jack how about a Jack Friday East Coast Update??

Happy Birthday JMF!!! Youve got so many fans here that would love to hear you back on the air!! Im hoping that someone, will call you and put you back on Bay Area Radio!! Weve all had years of these transplants ,and Im ready to hear some Award winning talent like John Mack Flanagan!! I wrote to XM , and have heard nothing!!! I hope Bobby Ocean puts in a word at XM for you! In 1974,you were on 9 to noon, and always heard you say, " Ocean @ noon" !! Those were the days 1974, life was simple , the music was great, and you had plenty of DJ s to listen to!! Ive heard Dj s come and go, positively the most annoying guy is Ron Parker, in 1993 I called KFRC and told David Bramnick to get you on the air!! I must have fell on deaf ears!! I would much rather hear JMF , than Ron and Cammy!! Thats my opinion! Im hoping for some major changes in Bay Area radio, and that the station listens to the listeners!! When you were at KCBS 97.3 in 1981, That was a very enjoyable format!! And the line up , John Mack Flanagan, Dierdre Gentry, Steve Garland, J. Parker Antrim, Jim Bridger that was a great station, what a waste to change that to KRQR !! They lost me immediatly !! You finally find a station you like, and poof, its gone!! Bonneville did 95.7 " The Drive" very similar format to KCBS 97.3 , then suddenly it becomes "The Bear" !! no notice , gone!! I wish KOIT 1260 would give that AM side , to a new owner and become 1260 KYA again!!! Who listens to KOIT anyway? Bonneville if you ever read these posts, youve had 1260 am since 1983 , When will you sell??? One more thing, Hello to Jack Friday i used to listen to you in 1971 on KFRC, Do you ever hear from Dave Diamond?? Kenny in Concord

Happy B-Day John

All of Us Ham & Eggers Dig what youv'e done.
