With the approach of the official start of the Holiday Season tomorrow, I wanted to stop and wish everyone here, brothers in this wacky business called "show," a Happy Holiday.*

* Disclaimer. Now, since we are living in a litigious, overly sensitive time, I should make clear the following about this statement of goodwill (hereinafter “The Greeting”):
First, the term “Holiday” is meant in the generic sense. This Holiday time of year, running from late November, 2005, until early January, 2006 (hereinafter “The Season”) is meant to be inclusive, not exclusive or exhaustive. People or groups in The Season include, but are not limited to, celebrants of Christmas, Chanukah, the Solstice, New Year, Bodhi day, and Kwanzaa. Other celebrations not listed that coincide with The Season are herein included by reference. Those who celebrate no holidays that coincide with The Season, or those whose main holidays fall in times outside The Season (e.g, Ramadan, Diwali, etc.) may, at his or her own discretion, consider The Greeting a non-specific statement of secular goodwill.
Second, the party conveying The Greeting (hereinafter “The Sender”) conveys no warranties or guarantees to parties receiving The Greeting (hereinafter “The Receiver(s)”). While it is the desire of The Sender that The Receiver enjoys The Season, conveyance of The Greeting in no way is intended to ensure same. By accepting The Greeting, The Receiver acknowledges that he, in his sole capacity, is responsible for any good feelings or enjoyment found, or not found, in The Season. Receiver agrees to hold The Sender harmless if The Receiver fails to find appropriate and reasonable holiday satisfaction during The Season. The Receiver assumes the risk.
The Receiver further acknowledges and agrees to the following: The Greeting has no cash value, and is non-transferable. The Greeting is time-sensitive, and will expire at the end of The Season. The Receiver should expect no extensions. All copyrights, trademarks, or other Intellectual Property associated with The Greeting remain the exclusive property of The Sender. All rights remain reserved unless and until The Sender conveys a license in writing to The Receiver. Should any dispute arise associated with The Greeting, by accepting The Greeting, The Receiver agrees that forum and venue will be the courts of Shelby County, Tennessee, using the laws of the State of Tennessee, regardless of Choice of Law rules. The Receiver further agrees that The Greeting itself shall serve as proper consideration for all covenants contained herein.
If The Receiver has any questions about any rights or responsibilities arising from The Greeting, The Sender encourages The Receiver to seek competent legal advise from a properly licensed practitioner in his or her jurisdiction. The Receiver shall do so at The Receiver’s cost.
