Man; Lets look at the list of things that have happened here:

* KZON earns the NUMBER 1 SPOT of ALL

* Hot 97.5 becomes Hits & Dance

* Hot 97.5 adds a Saturday night mix show (and the Hollywood Hamilton Dance Remix Top 30 SATURDAYS from 7-10am and Sundays from 3-6pm)

* Phoenix gets an Adult Top 40, No?

* 104.7 Kiss FM Adds a Friday Night mix and removes that Dawson McCallister show from Sunday evenings. They also move the Baka Boyz All Star Hitmix to make the Friday night mix longer..

* KZON adds The House Party

* KZON adds a weekly noon and night time mix show (and the New @ 2 Drive Thru Mix)

* KPKX goes more variety

* KZZP adds Ghetto House Radio

* 90.7 The Goldmine ends up valley wide on 92.7, although it was six months later than some expected

* 3 pure dance shows late Saturday nights and one late night Fridays

* The Nearly Famous Barry Young got an extra hour added on.

* And I can't remember what else I've wished for and advocated over the past couple of years since I've signed on, but I think 97% of it all has now been fulfilled!

I swear, if things get any better for me in the Phoenix market, I'll have to take the rest of the year off from work and school because things would be so good that I'd have to consider the rest of 2012 a Holiday for me!

I remember when I used to have to go to LA to get this much excitement in radio. Now, I couldn't care less about Los Angeles's chr scene.

Anyway, well I'm going to sit back and relax as I enjoy the rest of my Holiday Season.

KZON is #1 6+ because it has like a 26 share in teens. Their 18-34/18-49 is strong but not nearly as dominant as the 6+ number would indicate. Actually, they are losing 18-49 to Kiss, which means KZZP will continue to be the billing champ.
 
So, in other words, KZZP doesn't have much to worry about. I was wondering, because it did seem like KZZP has been doing nothing to react to KZON and I've been wondering why.

What could they possibly do? They play the same songs mostly.

Reduce the amount of songs in their regular playlist? I don't really know, but there have been times in the past when KZZP would (seemingly) react to KZON.

MAN THE HOLIDAY'S JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER (FOR ME)!

It's "The Super Fun 4th of July Party Time Music Mix Holiday" ALL DAY LONG on HOT 97.5!
Unlike other stations, THEY ACTUALLY STARTED MIXING AT 6AM!

Totally unexpected, and I even forgot all about checking for Holiday mixes during any Holiday this summer.

Man! I feel more giddy than a fat tick on a lazy dog!
